Jack Russell, the Werewolf by Night character first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #2 (Feb. 1972), and after three more Spotlights was awarded his own series beginning with Werewolf by Night #1 (Sept. 1972).
Much of the comics success was due to the fantastic artwork of Mike Ploog, who was responisble for most of the artwork untill Werewolf by Night #16 (April 1974) when the artwork was turned over to Don Perlin.
Look for Ghost Rider and Werewolf by Night Marvel characters on the big Screen with Ghost Rider slated to open in Feb. of 2007 and Werewolf by Night yet to be announced. |
